Water and Coastal Pathways
This course is based on a 30-year tradition of combining the skills of the University of Montpellier with a focus on specific coastal and marine issues.
Presentation of the Master Eau Littoral
The aim of this specialization is to offer theoretical and practical multidisciplinary training in the planning, management and protection of coastal and maritime areas. It is based on courses in science, law, geography and economics. It has a dual professional and research focus.
In particular, the training aims to provide knowledge of :
- seafaring professions and coastal activities (fishing,
aquaculture, shellfish farming, etc.)
- socio-economic players in coastal areas
- administrative and legislative framework for coastal areas
and maritime areas
- management and protection methods for
coastal ecosystems
- basic engineering principles for building or
rehabilitating coastal or port facilities
- specific risks associated with coastal areas
