Backed by major national research centers, the Earth, Water, and Environment Department in Montpellier is the academic unit within the Montpellier Faculty of Sciences that coordinates and administers bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in the fields of Earth, water, and environmental sciences.

With a staff of 41 faculty members, 1 associate professor, and 8 technical and administrative staff members, as well as numerous professional guest lecturers, it enrolls between 700 and 800 students each year.
