L1 Earth-Water-Environment Portal

Training content

L1 TEE aims to address the major issues associated with the Earth and Water sciences right from the start of the bachelor's degree. Several teaching units address the issues of resources, global change, pollution and the evolution of the Earth and life itself.

L1 TEE also enables students to brush up on their general subjects, such as mathematics, physics, chemistry and earth sciences. These TU are TU specifically designed to cater for the diversity of student profiles coming from terminale.

Several support systems are in place to help students integrate and succeed at our University.

Semester 1 :

- Careers in Earth, Water and Environmental Sciences (1 ECTS)
- Earth and its resources (4 ECTS)
- Environmental Sciences (4 ECTS)
- Geology (4 ECTS)
- From cells to organisms (4 ECTS)
- Mathematics for TEE (4 ECTS)
- General Chemistry (4 ECTS)
- English (1 ECTS)
- A choice of TU :

success device

L1 TEE offers a number of schemes designed to help students succeed and overcome any difficulties they may have.

In the first semester, a specific TU " Careers in Earth, Water and Environmental Sciences " enables students to reflect on their career plans, and thus stimulate vocations and motivation.

A student tutoring scheme will be set up in the middle of the first semester for students experiencing difficulties from the very first assessments. A Master's or PhD student will support a group of students in difficulty.

In the second semester, there are two possibilities for students in the following situations:

  • if a reorientation is envisaged, a refresher program will enable students to reinforce their level in the main scientific disciplines in 6 to 8 weeks, so that they can present these achievements in their ParcourSup application.
  • if difficulties are too great but students wish to continue at the Faculty of Science, semester 2 will be lightened (10-15 ECTS instead of 30 ECTS) to make way for specific remediation, focusing on difficulties encountered in certain TU and older gaps. This will enable students following this program to prepare for session two of the TU exams in the first semester, and to spread the acquisition of L1 knowledge over two years.
